Coryphantha magentae (Sierra de Paila)

This cactacea was discovered near Sierra de Paila (Mexico). A globular shaped plant of a bluish-green color. It has multiple protuberances on which round white downy areoles appear. It is equipped with dense and long yellowish-white radial spines, which tend to envelop the body, and stiff central brownish-red spines. During the spring period, at the apex of the plant, small funnel-shaped flowers bloom, which are of a white color tinged with pink.
