Coryphantha connivens

Beautiful cactus with a globular body, slightly cylindrical with growth, wich does not reach considerable dimensions but rather tends to cluster by generating multiple basal suckers, for a pleasant effect similar to an opaque dark green cushion made of multiple heads. It is formed of very pronounced rounded tubercles, separated from each other by abundant whitish fluff. At the apex of the tubercles, yellowish, thin and slightly curved radial spines emerge from small areolas, arranged radially around the stem, and sparse central spines that are longer and more robust, equally curved and equipped with the characteristic darker tip. Between spring and summer, marvelous bright yellow flowers with multi-layered petals blooms at the apex of the cactus.
