Coryphantha compacta f. crested

The crested shape of this plant has a fan shape, very particular, which makes each exemplar unique and for this reason very appreciated by collectors. In its normal form, however, it is a small cactus with an upright and solitary posture. Its globose stem has numerous conoidal tubercles, with a thick white fluff between them and at the apex. From the elongated areolas sprout thick needle-like spines, curved, robust and white, which go to completely cover the stem giving it a compact appearance, hence the name 'C. compacta'. During the flowering period at its apex generates large flowers, of a beautiful bright yellow.
