Copiapoa humilis f. variegated

Graceful cactus with a globose shape, which with time can turn on the base. It has a slight depression at the apex and ribs defined by many rounded tubercles equipped with small fluffy white areolas; from the latter out short and thin white-greyish spines that, with time, darken to become black. The variegated shape of this succulent presents the typical lighter areas in the exact points where the chlorophyll is absent: these characteristics will never be the same from one plant to another, therefore each exemplar will be absolutely unique and, for this reason, highly sought after by collectors. During the flowering period its charm is accentuated by the blossoming of its beautiful intense yellow flowers.
