Copiapoa griseoviolacea

Very particular cactus, which appearance certainly does not go unnoticed! It has a purplish globose stem, with rather prominent and asymmetrical rounded tubercles. On those, from small areoles, very robust and several centimeters long black thorns emerge, which tend to arrange themselves radially, curving delicately to create a sort of veiled cover for the whole plant, rusulting in an extremely suggestive overall appearance. With age, the black thorns take on more greyish tones, remaining darker only at the apex, where they strongly contrast with the thick white woolly areoles from which they come out.
