Cleistocactus vulpis-cauda

This cactacea with an elongated cylindrical habit, over time tends to branch out at the base. Its dark green stem has multiple well-defined ribs, equipped with large oval downy areoles. Its dense thin brownish-yellow spines completely cover the plant, making it similar to a fox tail, hence the name 'vulpis-cauda'. During the flowering season, reddish flowers bloom.
