Cleistocactus parviflorus

Beautiful exemplar of cactus native to Bolivia, which grows in arid and desert areas. Its cylindrical stem has tuberculate ribs above which are found fluffy areolas. From the areolas come out its spines: the radials are thin, yellow and short while the central spines are longer and more robust than the radials, yellow-brown. During the flowering period, this cactus gives beautiful red flowers that bloom at the top of the stem.
