Its name derives from Cipò - a Brazilian town from which these long columnar cacti, unbranched and of a typical bluish-green color, come from. They are characterized by the stems, which in nature may reach even two meters in height. The stems are covered with abundant spines that are never too long and perfectly symmetrical. It is highly appreciated for the inflorescences that bloom in the upper part of the stem, but they are also famous for the fruits of a particular blue color, very bright, which most of the species have. It is a cactus that generally is solemn but at the same time ornamental and very resistant!
