Description:

This hybrid of Chamaecereus and Lobivia is a small, upright cactus that branches out at the base over time. Its green stem has ribs well defined by thick whitish areoles, which form a continuous line. Its thick, tiny spines cover almost the entire stem. The strength of this plant is its spectacular flowering, which can generate more than twenty flowers at a time. The inflorescences are large, funnel-shaped and multi-hued, making it ideal for adding a wonderful splash of colors to your garden.

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sunlight especially during the hottest hours of the day.

It prefers rather mild temperatures, however it still survives even at temperatures close to freezing if the soil is dry.

Water moderately and only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water it once a week in spring and summer, and reduce watering to once every two months in autumn and winter.

The best soil is a well-draining and porous one, even better if further enriched with 50% of inert materials such as pumice, lapilli or clay.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
