Description:
A perennial cactaceous plant which resembles a columnar cactus, with many upright stems. The stems are of a distinctive bluish-green color, from which it gets its name "C. azureus". It has well-defined ribs, outlined by many dense aligned areoles and thin yellowish needle-like spines. During summer you can admire its beautiful pinkish-white nocturnal inflorescences.

Plant care:
It likes an exposure to full sun in rather airy locations.
It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 10 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
Water moderately and only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water it once a week in spring and summer, reduce it to once every two months in autumn and to suspend it completely in winter.
A well-draining and mineral-rich substrate is an optimal solution, for example a soil suitable for cacti mixed with pumice.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
