Wonderful exemplar consisting of woody caudiciform stem, considered among the most appreciated for its swollen forms at the base that then tend to branch into extremely asymmetric shapes and trends, considered almost monstrous for their twisted character! The woody aspect of the plant takes on an even more particular character thanks to the rough and jagged bark of a typical reddish-brown color (especially in young specimens). From the thin branches, during the vegetative season, come out graceful deciduous leaves of ovate shape, pointed at the apex and enriched by margins delicately scalloped. Not many know that this is not a simple ornamental plant: its leaves, if rubbed, emit pleasant aromas thanks to the resin contained in every part of the plant, widely used for its intense scent also to produce incense and oils!
