It is a slow growing succulent, named after the German botanist Alwin Berger. It was first described by Gustav Schwantes in 1926. It grows in nature in multiple environments (groves, grasslands, savannah) in the Eastern Cape province, in South Africa. It is characterized by lanceolate triangular leaves, smooth and glabrous, of a bluish green color. During its flowering period it blooms with beautiful yellow flowers, similar to daisies. Over time, its roots tend to become caudexes, giving the Bergeranthus a miniature bonsai look. It is a beautiful plant, suitable for giving an exotic touch to your indoor environments.
