Begonia maculata

It is often called "bamboo begonia", because of the stems that resemble those of bamboo. It is a tropical succulent that can reach up to 1-1.5 m in height. Leaves up to 20 cm in length grow on long stems, they are highly appreciated for their extraordinary color: the lower part is of a dark red color, while the upper part is brownish-green, covered with irregular white spots. The flowering period is between May and October, when its beautiful white or pink flowers bloom.
