Ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus (CITES)

Extremely rare plant, which even in the wild can be found in very limited areas, where it grows mainly underground, exposing only the apical part consisting of dark green triangular tubercles, arranged in a sort of rosette dotted here and there by abundant white fluff, especially along the central line of the tubercles. Even more striking will surely be the flower on the notes of fuchsia, often larger than the plant itself. When cultivated in pots, the root system is also clearly shown, consisting of a massive semi-rounded woody caudex, which together with the rosette creates an extremely unique complex, impossible to miss in a collection of true experts!
