The genus name Aporocactus derives from the Greek word "àporos" which means "impenetrable". A succulent plant also often called 'Rat's Tail Cactus' because of its distinctive stem shape, which resembles a tail. It is a creeping, easily branching cactus. Its stems are long and fine, are of a green color, covered with numerous spines, ranging in color from yellow to brownish. In spring you can admire its beautiful large magenta flowers that open up during the day. Beautiful houseplant, easy to grow thus perfect even for beginners.
