Description:

Nice exemplar whose name, in Latin, literally means "striped" in relation to its wonderful green-greyish epidermis characterized by long longitudinal lines that vary slightly in nuance. Characterized by the typical arrangement with a well open rosette, it is equipped with flat and lanceolate leaves, facing upwards and strongly pointed at the apex, finely bordered by a shaded line of pink that tends to accentuate when the plant is exposed to abundant sunlight. One of the most appreciated characters of A. striata is definitely its inflorescence, which blooms from the center of the rosette in clusters placed at the apex of long stems and livens up the environments with its bright coral notes (hence the name by which it is commonly known of "Aloe coral").

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light all year round, however avoiding direct sunlight especially during the hottest hours of the day.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures, but never below 8 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water moderately only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once every two weeks in spring and summer, once every two months in autumn and completely suspend watering in winter.

A well-draining and at the same time nourishing soil is an optimal solution. A mix of 60% of peat and 40% of inert materials is a perfect combination.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
