Description:

The name of the species refers to the native area of the exemplar; it is a succulent with a truly original appearance, formed by a very wide and well open rosette of extremely sharp, flat and smooth leaves. The epidermis, the real strong point of A. somaliensis, is a bright dark green pleasantly dotted and streaked with lighter areas: depending on the seasons this plant will take on very variable shades, making it an absolutely unique specimen and never identical to others! To enrich this extravagant appearance contribute the marked brown-reddish teeth that decorate the entire foliar perimeter. Overall, A. somaliensis is really an exemplar that is worth owning in their collections, or even just admire to furnish with elegance and uniqueness locations from the most varied styles!

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light all year round, however avoiding direct sunlight especially during the hottest hours of the day.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures, but never below 8 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water moderately only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once every two weeks in spring and summer, once every two months in autumn and completely suspend watering in winter.

A well-draining and at the same time nourishing soil is an optimal solution. A mix of 60% of peat and 40% of inert materials is a perfect combination.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
