A medium-sized succulent plant that can grow up to 40 cm tall. Its bluish-gray, leaves are fleshy of an obovate shape, with stiff, short spines along the margins and the back. Over time the plant tends to enclose, forming a beautiful compact, rounded rosette. Its inflorescences occur mainly from spring to summer blooming, on long stems, with numerous tubular flowers of red-orange color.
