The species was named in the honor Dorothy Westhead of London. It is a wonderful rosette-shaped succulent; formed by long curved leaves, glossy and with rather close and well visible marginal teeth. The epidermis assumes pleasing greenish-yellow tones that change into red-orange, the more it gets exposed to the sun. A. dorotheae generates such a unique combination of colors, comparable to the shades of the sunset, that it is called also "Aloe sunset". At the beginning of spring, its flowers bloom on long stems thus colouring the environment in greenish-yellow tones. Aloe dorotheae is a real mix of bold shapes and attractive colors, perfect to give an extra gear to your environments!
