This is a quite attractive succulent plant that over time tends to cluster at the base, forming new seedlings. This bluish-green succulent grows in the form of a rosette, has flattened leaves that curve towards the center as they grow. They are fleshy and long, covered with thick white teeth with a brown tip, which look like thorns. With the prolonged exposure to the direct sun, the plant takes on a reddish-brown color. In winter, its long stalks produce small orange-red flowers.
