Aeonium sedifolium f. variegata

The specific epithet "sedifolium" comes from "sedum" (genus of succulents) and "folius" (foliage), due to the similarity of its leaves to those of Sedum: very small, fleshy and oval. The variegated shape of this succulent has yellowish shades in places where there is a lack of chlorophyll; these shades are never the same in plants making each of them unique and for this reason highly appreciated by collectors. In its normal form it is a succulent dwarf that during the growth branches very much and on top of the green stems it has its pretty leaves arranged in a rosette, of a nice bright green enriched by red streaks on the margins. Growing up, this plant loses its basal leaves and discovers its smooth trunk.
