The name of the genus Aeonium derives from the Greek word "aionios" which means "eternal" or "lasting" due to the surprising ability of the Aeonium to survive drought for long periods. A. haworthii 'Kiwi' is an attractive succulent plant, which over time branches out and can reach up to 90 cm in height. On the top of its gray stems it has obovate succulent leaves arranged in a rosette of a green, yellow and pink color that with the prolonged exposure to the direct sun take on reddish colors. As it grows, this plant loses its basal leaves and discovers its gray smooth trunk. It is a perfect succulent plant to give an exotic touch to your balconies or window sills.
