Aeonium 'Carolina'

This beautiful succulent plant is a hybrid of A. simsii and A. arboreum 'Atropurpureum'. Its rosettes, with a light green center and reddish leaves, are formed by narrow, lanceolate leaves with ciliate margins, which arrange themselves to take on a sort of bud shape. With prolonged exposure to the sun, or during periods of drought, the color of the leaves intensifies and takes on a reddish-burgundy hue. As this plant grows, it loses its basal leaves and uncovers its smooth brown trunk. It is a perfect succulent to give an exotic touch to your balconies or window sills, or also suitable for creating original compositions.
