Aeonium arboreum 'Silk Pinwheel'

This beautiful succulent plant is also known as 'Silk Pinwheel' thanks to its leaves that are smooth to the touch, just like silk. Its spoon-shaped leaves are arranged in a compact rosette and are of a dark red color with a noticeable green center. With the prolonged exposure to the direct sun or during drought periods of the color of the leaves intensifies and takes on a purple shade. As it grows, this plant loses its basal leaves and discovers its brown, smooth trunk.
