Acanthocalycium variiflorum

This globe-shaped cactus is generally solitary, but over time it can also grow at the base. Its greyish green stem has numerous tuberculate ribs above which are the white and woolly areoles. Its thorns are not numerous, they come out from the areoles and are of white-grey color and with the growth of the plant tend to become darker, almost brownish. During the flowering period A. variiflorum gives beautiful yellowish daisies which bloom at the apex of the stem. This cactus is suitable for decorating any type of environment!
