Acanthocalycium peitscherianum

Solitary cactus, with a typical globular shape, depressed at the apex. It has a greyish-green stem equipped with strongly acute and slightly indented ribs on which emerge thin and rather long brown-greyish thorns. During the flowering period, its wild appearance comes into a pleasant contrast with the large flowers that bloom in shades of white and delicate pink.
