Rebutia heliosa f. variegated (Variegated)

The variegated shape of a cactus presents typical yellow zones in the exact points where there is no chlorophyll: these zones vary in each plant, therefore each specimen will be absolutely unique and, for this reason, extremely loved by collectors. The cactus has a globose stem, slightly depressed at the apex, of a nice dark green, equipped with little pronounced tubercles; from these ones come out narrow elongated yellow-brownish areoles and pale and microscopic spines. They are thin, arranged like the legs of a spider almost to want to wrap the stem.It is a plant that does not reach considerable size but tends very quickly to light up, giving rise to numerous suckers that create a sort of carpet with multiple heads among which, in spring, blossom bright orange-red flowers.
