Mammillaria spinosissima f. crested variegated (Variegated)

M. spinosissima in its crested form has yellowish shades in the points of the epidermis where there is a lack of chlorophyll; in addition to this it has a very particular fan crest, thanks to its crested shape. These two characteristics make the plant unique and much appreciated by collectors around the world. In its normal form is a columnar cactus that can reach 40 cm in height. It has a green stem entirely covered by numerous thorns with colors ranging from white to brownish. In spring the flowers bloom from pink to purple and form a crown around the apex of the plant.
