Pot: 10 cm.
The name of the species comes from the Greek and literally means "multiple tubercles", in reference to the numerous protrusions from which this cactus is made. Of a beautiful bright light green, M. polythele develops a cylindrical shape that reaches even 40 cm in height, maintaining a diameter of a few centimeters. The variegated shape of this cactus presents the typical lighter areas in the exact points where the chlorophyll is absent: these characteristics will never be the same from one plant to another, therefore each specimen will be absolutely unique! At the base of the large conical tubercles grows a white fluff, as well as in the areoles at the apex of the protrusion, which in spring contrasts pleasantly with the small and delicate fuchsia-pink flowers that bloom corolla around the apex.
