Mammillaria neopalmeri f. variegated (Variegated)

Pleasant cactus consisting of a globose stem, slightly depressed at the apex but tending with growth to assume a cylindrical shape and to accestire, giving rise to graceful pillows with multiple heads. The variegated shape of this cactus presents the typical lighter areas in the exact points where the chlorophyll is absent: these characteristics will never be the same from one plant to another, therefore each specimen will be absolutely unique and, for this reason, highly sought after by collectors. Of a beautiful emerald green, its stem is equipped with conical tubercles very prominent, at the apex of which are shown large roundish areoles, white and woolly that blend perfectly with the soft lint present between one tubercle and the other. The radial spines are needle-like and extremely thin, white-yellowish and radially arranged, whilst the central ones are brownish with even darker extremities, at times conspicuously hooked. The wild effect of the cactus is interrupted in summer, when wonderful greenish-white flowers bloom that crown the apex with a touch of elegance and refinement!
