Mammillaria mammillaris f. variegated (Variegated)

The variegated shape of this species is highly appreciated by green collectors for its characteristic yellow spots, in the areas, where there is a lack of chlorophyll, which make the plant unique in its genus; you will never find two identical plants. It is a very geometric cactacea of a spherical shape, which is concave at the apex. It is generally solitary, but it can also form suckers. It consists of protruding conical, light green tubercles. Its cream-white spines are short and straight. Between the grooves, created by its tubercles, it creates a short white down. Its flowers are small and inconspicuous, which form a corolla around the apex.
