Art. 40034
Cactus that can present both solitary and grouped. Its bright green stem is spherical and has conical tubercles, at the ends of which are created woolly areolas. From the latter come out central spines, delicately hooked at the apex, which tend to fade from yellow towards brown; the radial spines are instead paler and shorter, well straight. The variegated shape of this cactus presents the typical lighter areas in the exact points where the chlorophyll is absent: these characteristics will never be the same from one plant to another, therefore each exemplar will be absolutely unique! In the spring Mammillaria bombycina generates small and graceful funnel-shaped flowers characterized by elegant shades between white and pink.
