Mammillaria bocasana f. variegated (Variegated)

The variegated shape of this cactaceae has yellow shades in the exact points where there is a lack of chlorophyll; these shades will never be identical in plants making each of them unique in its kind and for this reason is sought after by collectors around the world. In its normal form it is a globose cactus that grows in clusters and at the end of its tubercles sprout brownish hooked spines. M. bocasana is also known as "Powder Puff Cactus" for its silky white hairs that cover it entirely like a cotton ball. In late spring/summer, its funnel-shaped flowers can assume a wide colouration from cream-white to rosé.
