It is a cactus of a spherical shape, slightly flattened at the apex, of a gray-bronze color, embellished with yellow variegations that make each specimen unique, therefore highly appreciated and sought after by succulent plant collectors. It has evident ribs, from which downy oval areoles of a white color emerge. Its spines are curved and flattened, initially of a honey yellow color, which then fade into lighter shades. It produces funnel-shaped flowers of a pinkish-white color.
