Art. 43709
The variegated shape of this cactaceae has yellowish shades in places where there is a lack of chlorophyll; such spots and shades will never be identical on different plants, making each one unique and for this reason highly sought after by collectors around the world. In its normal form it is a globose and solitary cactus with a reddish to bluish-green color. G. quehlianum has the particular characteristic of having the flattest stem among all Gymnocalycium. It has numerous tubercles and numerous areoles very close to each other, from which emerge small yellowish spines. This plant gives spectacle during the flowering season: large white-pink flowers bloom in succession lasting up to a week.
