It is a spherical cactus, which is depressed at the apex, of a very variable color and shape. Its stem has multiple well-defined protuberances, characterized by a different color. In the upper part it has a greenish pigmentation, in the lower one it has purple shades, accentuated with beautiful yellow variegations. The spines are short and straight, of a yellowish color. Its funnel-shaped inflorescences are of a color, that fades from white to pink.
