Small and graceful cactus with a solitary habit, which can occasionally turn on the base. Its stem takes on a globose shape and an intense dark green color; it has numerous close ribs, wavy and pleasantly spaced by tubercles. From the small white and woolly areoles emerge thin elongated thorns of a vitreous whitish color. The variegated shape of this cactus presents the typical lighter areas in the exact points where the chlorophyll is absent: these characteristics will never be the same from one plant to another, therefore each exemplar will be absolutely unique!
