Echinofossulocactus inermis f. crestata. (Variegated)

The crested shape of this wonderful Echinofossulocactus has a mutation, the fan-shaped crest which makes it unique in its kind. No two crested specimens are identical, even of the same species as the crest appears different in different plants. This plant consists of a slightly depressed globose stem at the apex, a beautiful dull dark green. The most extravagant feature of this plant are its ribs, extremely close together and wavy, with an asymmetrical and pleasantly soft shape. Sometimes the ribs are so “eventful” that they become three-dimensional, with multiple protrusions that emerge like’ ripples.
