The variegated shape of this cactaceae presents yellowish shades in places where there is a lack of chlorophyll; these shades will never be the same in plants, making each of them unique and for this reason very sought after by collectors. In its normal form it is a cactus with a globose shape and slightly depressed at the apex , particularly appreciated worldwide for its remarkable ornamental abilities. In fact, it has very peculiar characteristics, starting from the very thick and wavy ribs, to which are added showy flat and long spines that cover a good part of the body with their colors from white to brownish. During the flowering period, spring-summer, funnel-shaped flowers bloom, striking the attention for the pink and purple streaked colors, pleasantly contrasting with the dark green of the plant!
