Art. 53543
A globose cactus plant, which over time becomes columnar and can reach up to one meter in height. Its dark green stem has variegations, ranging in color from white to yellow and pink, more or less large and intense, which make each specimen unique. The epidermis is covered with downy white spots that easily distinguish it from all other species of this genus. The ribs are well marked with a thin margin, have sparse downy yellowish areoles, from which tufts of long twisted, flattened and brownish-gray spines grow, that are similar to horns of capricorn, hence the name of the species. During summer, large funnel-shaped inflorescences bloom at the apex of the plant, of a typical yellow color with a red throat.
