The variegated shape of this succulent has very particular spots and streaks due to the lack of chlorophyll which will be different in each plant, making each one unique and for this reason very appreciated by collectors around the world. In its normal form A. parrasana has medium-sized rosettes, with fleshy, lanceolate blue-green leaves. The leaves are arranged one above the other and end at the apex with a robust brownish spine while in the margins they are outlined by red and hooked thorns. The epidermis is slightly waxy. The flowering period is summer and the flowers bloom on long central stems up to 2m high!
