Beautiful Mexican succulent, whose name was chosen in reference to the isthmus of Tehuantepec. In the variegated form it has yellowish spots and streaks, in the exact points of the epidermis ( in this case along the margins ) where there is a lack of chlorophyll giving the plant a unique and unmistakable appearance. Its leaves arranged in a rosette, are fleshy with a shape similar to a spoon and tend to widen towards the apex to end with a long and robust tip while the margins are serrated. The color of the variegation creates a perfect contrast with the glaucous green/ bluish of the central part of the leaves and with the reddish color of the tips and edges jagged.
