Stapelia hirsuta f. crestata (Succulents)

The crested form of this plant is extremely appreciated both for its beauty and for its uniqueness, since the fan-like arrangement of any single specimen will never be identical to others. In its normal form it is a succulent plant with a straight growth, which does not exceed 24 cm in height, generally grows in grouped stems with weak teeth at the edges. There are many hybrids of Stapelia hirsuta in nature and in cultivation, for this reason it is not always easy to identify it. The flowers give off an unpleasant smell, in order to attract insects for spreading their pollen.
