Pilea (Succulents)

The Pilea genus includes about 800 species. They are evergreen succulent plants with bushy habit. Regarding the dimensions, the Pileas do not exceed 50-60 cm in height. The plant produces sturdy semi-woody stems, on which fleshy, dark green, often mottled, succulent leaves grow. Coming from tropical areas, these succulent plants grow perfectly with low light and reduced watering, in fact the Pileas are very easy to grow and do not require special attention or care, which is why they are a perfect choice for beginners, who would like to adorn the apartment or office with style and a tropical touch. A curious fact: some species of the Pilea are used in traditional Chinese medicine.
