Prefers positions partially shaded but very bright. It is advisable to avoid the direct rays of the sun, especially in summer, for young seedlings.
Accustomed to the scorching heat of its native habitats, it loves medium-high temperatures. In winter it is preferable to place it sheltered in airy places.
It needs very little water; in vegetative periods it is preferable to water sparingly only when the soil is completely dry, while during rest it is advisable to completely suspend the water supply.
It is optimal a substrate strongly draining to avoid rottenness, consisting of soil specific for succulents to which you can add pumice or lapillo to make the soil even more porous.
It does not need frequent fertilizations, it will be sufficient to dilute liquid fertilizer with the water of the waterings once a year.
