Orbea decaisneana (Succulents)

This succulent exemplar grows in arid areas, in the desert and among limestone and granites. It has a very branched structure that expands horizontally covering vast surfaces but does not exceed 20 cm in height. Its cylindrical stems of light green or greyish color are streaked or spotted of red and violet color and have marked ribs with conical tubercles. The highlight of O. decaisneana are its star-shaped flowers: they flaunt colors ranging from purple to black and are dotted with white. The flowering period is summer-autumn.
