Its name 'viscosa' means "sticky", due to the roughness of its leaves. With the prolonged exposure to the direct sun, like all Haworthias, it may take on brown colors. Its dense green and pointed leaves form an erect triangular stem. Over time it clusters at the base. The flower is not very decorative, it blooms on a long peduncle and is of a white color.
