A small, light green rosette-shaped succulent plant that does not exceed 12 cm in diameter. The variegated form has creamy white streaks that make each plant unique and special, therefore much loved and highly sought after by green collectors from all over the world. It has fleshy cylindrical and slightly flattened leaves, with a very evident tip, hence the name of the species (from the Latin word “mucronata” - “pointed”). The leaves are initially erect, then slightly curved. The distinguishing feature of this species is the translucent margins and keels. Depending on the area of its origin, this plant may also have whitish bristles on the edges of the foliage. In spring it produces a long peduncle on which white flowers with greyish-green keels bloom.
