The name of the species comes from the Greek and literally means "from the fleshy stem", in reference to its shrubby caudex well visible even when the plant is in vegetation, which is why it is often commonly known as "Crassula bonsai". It has slender and woody stems that branch abundantly in the apical part like a tree, while maintaining reduced heights of about 40-50 cm. In the vegetative season from the branches depart small narrow and pointed leaves, extremely fleshy, of a beautiful glaucous green that matches perfectly with the delicate apical clusters of white or delicately pink flowers with pleasant sweet scents: a real must in the collections of bonsai lovers and not only!
