Crassula barklyi

The name of this original succulent was chosen in honor of the passionate naturalist Henry Barklyi, although very often it is commonly known as "rattlesnake tail" for its characteristic scaly shape. It is a pretty dwarf plant formed by a columnar stem with a vaguely square section that does not exceed the 10 cm of height, tending to branch abundantly at the base reproducing many small stems initially almost spherical. The whole body of the succulent is completely covered by ovoid leaves tightly stacked on each other, similar to scales of a beautiful light green at times shaded dark green or bronze depending on the season and the sun exposure. The foliage is slightly fleshy, concave and aimed at wrapping the stem with its ovoid shape. In the middle of winter at the apex of each stem bloom very small delicate white tubular flowers grouped in cute bunches.
